Festival Director, Christian Sida-Valenzuela, attended the 55th Cartagena International Film Festival in Colombia as a panelist in a discussion on documentary films and film festivals.
The Cartagena International Film Festival is the oldest film festival in Latin America.

The third edition of the Colombian Travelling Media Arts Festival (FIDAAC) will be taking place at the 13th Vancouver Latin American Film Festival in September, 2015.
In its two prior editions, FIDAAC was hosted at the Bordeaux International Independent Film Festival in France (2013), and in Vilnius, Lithuania (2014).

The Vancouver Latin American Film Festival will be present at the 36th Havana Film Festival in Cuba, presenting two films in the section ''Desde otros festivales''. This collaboration allows our festival to present Canadian productions that were filmed in Latin America.
The films to be presented are:

The local band Mezcla, will be playing at the Closing Night reception of the Vancouver Latin American Film Festival.
After what was the busiest opening weekend of our festival ever, with a record number of sold out shows, we have added a second screening of the popular film Who is Dayani Cristal? Other highlights for the weekend include the Chilean film The Dance of Reality (the return to cinema of Alejandro Jodorowsky). The Brazilian Gala film The Way He Looks is selling fast (actor Fabio Audi will be in attendance), we''ll also be screening the acclaimed Vasque film Happy New Year, Grandma (director Telmo Esnal will be in attendance).
