As a registered not-for-profit society, the Vancouver Latin American Film Festival screens films that have not been rated by Consumer Protection BC. Under BC law, any person wishing to see these unclassified films* must be a member of the VLAFF society and be 18 years of age or older.
The annual membership fee is $2. Please carry your membership card with you at all times, as you will be required to show it at all VLAFF screenings, including special screenings throughout the year. The membership card expires on July 31, 2016.
Vancouver Latin American Film Festival is responsible for operating in compliance with the Motion Picture Act and Consumer Protection BC.
*Please note: The following five films have been classified by Consumer Protection BC for Youth admittance: Boys of Buenaventura (PG), Good People (PG), The Hamsters (PG), Los Hongos (14A), and Seashore (14A).
