Latin American Entries for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 88th Academy Awards

Last year, a record 83 countries submitted features and the eventual winner was the Polish feature film Ida, directed by Pawel Pawlikowski.

Nine finalists will be shortlisted, which will be whittled down to five nominees that will be announced on January 14, 2016.

The 88th Academy Awards will take place on February 28, 2016.
