Canadian Premiere
Fábula had its World Premiere at the 2011 Havana Film Festival.
In a cosmopolitan Havana, Arthur meets and falls in love with Cecilia. Their idyllic aspirations for love and happiness quickly meet with complications. Fable is ultimately a moving, sincere exploration of the possibilities for love in a city defined by economic and social adversity.
''Fable is a love story, a movie I’ve made from reason, a movie with a colder, more cynical, maybe distant tone..... in Fable the look is way more external, more distant, a lot more from observation and reason. It doesn’t mean it’s not a passionate film, because it is a love story, but it’s about passion seen from reason.'' Dir. Lester Hamlet.
